Summer is here!

Its summer time!
Well, its that time again....and we are now open EXTENDED HOURS for our summer time guests.  Now opening at 8 am and closing at 4, every day.

Memorial Day weekend was a blast from a very busy restaurant to all the fun @ Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center.  Summer is off to a roll.

Along with summer comes our new summer specials with Snow Crab Eggs Benedict with fresh avocado to Peach topped Buttermilk Pancakes and our Catfish BLT, oh and our new! Lemon Penne Chicken entree' we are sure to have something on our menu to please everyone.

In August we'll be taking our Braeburn Employee appreciation summer excursion. So keep your eyes peeled for pics.  Were hoping to spot some Killer Whales this trip and eat some good chow cooked up by our Braeburn cooks..

Also,. don't forget to drop by and enter our giveaway for 2 TICKETS to the Whidbey Island Garden Tour- it only happens once a year and we're happy to give away free tickets so our clients can enjoy the tour.

Well, that sums up the end of May.  We hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend and thanks to all who visited us at Folklife.  Be sure to visit us at Ballard Seafood Festival and the fourth of July celebration in Freeland.  Happy June.

Getting ready for a busy spring!
Mother's Day is almost upon us!  All of us at The Braeburn are getting ready for a warm, (hopeful) spring day to celebrate Mother's Day again.  Once again this year we will be giving away flowers to all our patrons who are mom's.

Oh, its festival time again.  We are gearing up for University District Street Fair and NW Folklife Festival again this year.  Check out our crew this year as we will post pics from the festivals.  It time for Apple Dumplings and Peach Dumplings and live music and an exhausted crew!  Come see us at U. District Street Festival on May 17 & 18th and NW Folklife during Memorial Day Weekend.  Oh, the restaurant will be open too, with extended hours during Memorial Day Weekend.

Everyone here would also like to wish John Auburn, of JW Desserts, the best of luck on Food Networks cake competition this month.  It will be airing soon, we hope.  We can't wait to see it. ( Go Emerald City!!!)  ...and here's cake in their eye!

For everyone who has written wonderful reviews of us and checked out our website, our staff and crew would like to, personally, "Thank You!": its always nice to read such generous reviews.

Thanks to everyone who supported Constance during her recent loss.  She found the support overwhelming and is grateful to all her friends, business associates, and "trouble makers" , for all their support and great sense of humor- which always makes things seem better. :)Smile

Ponytails rule the kitchen again!
Great News
after a long stint away exploring the culinary world of Seattle, Miles is going to return to us as our new Sous Chef.  Everyone here is really excited and looking forward to new specials and exciting fare when Miles steps back on the line to assist Chef Jim once again.

Miles started out at The Braeburn in spring of 2002 as a dishwasher and quickly worked his way into the kitchen.  He left to explore positions in the Seattle Culinary Scene gaining much experience at well known restaurants like Brasa, Anthony's Homeport, and a few others.

On April 3rd Miles will step back into the kitchen and rejoin our staff.
We invite everyone in to join Miles back to the neighborhood and we'll see what he cooks up!

Welcome to The Braeburn Restaurant.  We are located in the heart of downtown "Langley by the Sea", on the south end of  Whidbey Island, Washington.  At The Braeburn we specialize in great breakfasts & lunches too-utilizing the freshest ingredients available like organic breads, Montana Huckleberries, and local, fresh & organic products.

We offer house-made desserts, espresso, bottomless drip coffee, beer and wine service too.  Join us for breakfast when there is always something special on the menu from our very own Corned Beef Mash to our Eggs Benedict made with a homemade buttermilk-dill biscuit and hollandaise from scratch, oh..and don't forget our Braeburn Stuffed French Toast and GIANT European Mimosas.  While others boast "Best of Island" and "World's Best"...we just create consistent good quality food and courteous staff.  We are the place the island comes for breakfast!

Offering full, friendly service in a warm, cozy atmosphere its great for families, parties, rehearsal dinners and more.  Join us on a sunny Pacific Northwest Summer day and you can dine outside on our patio amongst the peach tree and California Lilacs.   Its an opportunity to see some of the "locals" and hey, if your lucky you might even meet our mascot, Brew.  He's a #170 Malamute who loves a good meal.  If you ask him there's NO better place to grab a bite, and if you want to argue with him...well, we can't be help ya there.

So come on in, grab a table and let our staff take care of you.
