Getting ready for a busy spring!Mother's Day is almost upon us! All of us at The Braeburn are getting ready for a warm, (hopeful) spring day to
celebrate Mother's Day again. Once again this year we will be giving away flowers to all our patrons who are mom's.
Oh, its festival time again. We are gearing up for University District Street Fair and NW Folklife Festival
again this year. Check out our crew this year as we will post pics from the festivals. It time for Apple Dumplings
and Peach Dumplings and live music and an exhausted crew! Come see us at U. District Street Festival on May 17 &
18th and NW Folklife during Memorial Day Weekend. Oh, the restaurant will be open too, with extended hours during Memorial
Day Weekend. Everyone here would also like to wish John Auburn, of JW Desserts, the best of luck on Food
Networks cake competition this month. It will be airing soon, we hope. We can't wait to see it. ( Go
Emerald City!!!) ...and here's cake in their eye! For everyone who has written wonderful reviews
of us and checked out our website, our staff and crew would like to, personally, "Thank You!": its always nice to
read such generous reviews. Thanks to everyone who supported Constance during her recent loss. She
found the support overwhelming and is grateful to all her friends, business associates, and "trouble makers" , for
all their support and great sense of humor- which always makes things seem better. :)

Ponytails rule the kitchen again!Great News after a long stint away exploring the culinary
world of Seattle, Miles is going to return to us as our new Sous Chef. Everyone here is really excited and looking forward
to new specials and exciting fare when Miles steps back on the line to assist Chef Jim once again.
Miles
started out at The Braeburn in spring of 2002 as a dishwasher and quickly worked his way into the kitchen. He left to
explore positions in the Seattle Culinary Scene gaining much experience at well known restaurants like Brasa, Anthony's
Homeport, and a few others.
On April 3rd Miles will step back into the kitchen and rejoin our staff. We invite everyone in to join Miles back to the neighborhood and we'll see what he cooks up!
